Job summary

Baxter is seeking an enterprise architect to provide leadership in cloud-native platform strategy and distributed systems governance. You will guide architecture decisions across products, services, and regions, ensuring security, resiliency, and scalable API ecosystems.

Ideal candidates bring 18+ years in software engineering and enterprise architecture, with deep Kubernetes, IaC, and cloud experience (Azure preferred). Healthcare tech experience is a plus; a bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of progressive software engineering and enterprise architecture experience
• Experience designing and governing scalable API ecosystems (GraphQL/REST)
• Multi-region cloud strategy, resiliency and disaster recovery
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration with executives and engineering
• Healthcare technology or regulated environments preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering (advanced degree desirable)

Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term architecture vision and cloud-native platform strategy
• Guide enterprise-wide architectural decisions across products and services
• Lead scalable API and integration design (GraphQL, REST, event-driven) and governance
• Evolve multi-region cloud strategies for high availability and data residency
• Drive modernization: Kubernetes, IaC, automated pipelines, observability
• Champion security/compliance architecture including SOC 2 readiness and IAM
• Mentor senior technical leaders and partner with business units for growth
