Job summary

Aether Aerospace in Dayton/Hanscom AFB area is seeking a Cloud Architect to design, implement, and oversee cloud solutions aligned with defense programs. You will lead cloud adoption, architecture, and system management, collaborating with cross-functional teams and service providers to deliver secure, scalable platforms.

Ideal candidates hold a TS/SCI clearance, a Bachelor's or higher in a related field, 5–7 years of cloud architecture experience, and hands-on expertise with IaC, cloud-native

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5–7 years cloud architecture experience, or Master’s degree with 3–5 years.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• Experience in cloud architecture, IaC, DevOps, and security best practices.
• Ability to lead cloud adoption plans and system design for defense programs.
• Experience with government/defense systems engineering and integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee cloud strategy and architecture for defense platforms.
• Lead cloud deployments on IaaS and PaaS.
• Collaborate with service providers to design system architecture.
• Onboard customers and tenants with client-first service.
• Translate requirements into detailed implementation specs.
• Ensure 100% of planned hours are recorded and met.
• Deliver against contractual requirements and drive client satisfaction.
• Build productive relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
