Job summary

General Dynamics IT is seeking a senior-level Cloud and Identity Engineer to architect, deploy, and support modern multi-cloud environments with a primary focus on AWS. You will work onsite in Falls Church, VA and serve as a trusted technical partner to both internal teams and Emerge Labs internal customers.

The role focuses on cloud engineering, identity management, and secure, compliant deployments across multiple cloud providers, with hybrid work in Falls Church, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in IT or related field.
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Experience deploying AWS multi-tenant environments using IaC (Terraform/Ansible).
• Experienced with Okta federation solutions (Okta workflow automation a plus).
• Certificate Authority deployment and DNS management experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft AD and Linux systems.
• Strong cloud networking background (VPCs, Route53, routing, security groups).

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and support multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Act as Okta/Identity SME for the Emerge Labs.
• Oversee Emerge Labs certificate infrastructure and DNS.
• Deploy and manage AWS multi-tenant account structures with networking, identity, governance, and security controls.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for IaC deployments to ensure reliable delivery.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point and communicate with customers.
• Ensure cloud services are delivered, validated, and functioning as expected.
• Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and confirm successful delivery.
• Partner with internal engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to maintain secure environments.
