Job summary

Nightwing seeks a Senior Principal Cloud Architect to lead a critical AWS GovCloud consolidation and migration program. You will design scalable, secure cloud architectures and drive automation using infrastructure-as-code.

This role requires active TS/SCI clearance and strong collaboration with customers and stakeholders to deliver mission-focused results. You will guide DevOps integration, ensure RMF/NIST compliance, mentor teams, and work across large, demanding environments to consolidate

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
8+ years of directly relevant experience.
5+ years designing cloud architectures on AWS.
Strong expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation).
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Experience leading migration/consolidation of multiple networks.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and architecture of a consolidated, maintainable cloud development environment in AWS GovCloud.
Plan and execute migration of separate development networks into a single environment.
Develop automation frameworks and IaC templates for provisioning and consolidation.
Provide systems engineering leadership for a large development program.
Interface with customer, stakeholders, and end-users to define migration specs.
Implement security controls including encryption, hardened configurations, and compliance safeguards for classified environments.
Collaborate with DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
Support risk assessments and develop mitigation plans during migration and operations.
Conduct architecture reviews and provide guidance to teams.
Evaluate new cloud services to improve operations.
