Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate a cloud platform, primarily in AWS GovCloud, with remote work options. The role emphasizes multi-account governance, IAM, and cost-aware architecture in a fast-paced government-focused environment.

You will build, deploy, and secure cloud services, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help mature automation using IaC, CI/CD, and monitoring tools while ensuring compliance with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT/Cloud Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years running and managing AWS or other major clouds.
• Experience with IAM, VPCs, and multi-account governance.
• Familiarity with IaC practices and version control.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage AWS accounts and governance using SCPs.
• Design and maintain multi-account environments using LZA.
• Create and manage VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups.
• Develop scripts with Terraform and GitLab CI/CD for provisioning and security.
• Deploy and maintain cloud apps in AWS GovCloud with Dev/Prod separation.
• Implement IAM with least-privilege access.
• Configure monitoring and logging with CloudWatch/CloudTrail/AWS Config.
• Align cloud security with FedRAMP and NIST 800-53.
• Optimize cost, performance, and scalability; lead projects.
