Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim in Ridgefield, CT is seeking an Application Architect to design cloud-based solutions enabling advanced customer insights and analytics. You will lead architecture across data integrations, platforms, and downstream apps, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant designs aligned with enterprise standards.

Role requires 4+ years IT or 10+ years in lieu, strong leadership, and experience with AI-powered enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of IT experience in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, or related technical leadership roles.
• Strong software engineering background with hands-on design, governance and delivery experience.
• Proven success delivering enterprise solutions in global, cross-functional environments; AI-powered solutions experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of architecture principles, EA frameworks, integration patterns, APIs, cloud tech, and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern solution architectures, integration patterns, APIs, data flows, and technology designs across related projects.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Provide architecture leadership across the full delivery lifecycle: planning, development, testing, deployment, and support.
• Lead architecture reviews, maintain documentation, ensure security, compliance and data privacy standards.
• Drive architectural consistency across cloud platforms, integrations, and downstream applications.
• Identify technology risks and recommend mitigations.
