We are seeking a dedicated technology leader with deep expertise in architecture and design to lead the development and implementation of scalable, hosted or cloud‑native solutions within our organization. This role focuses on providing architectural oversight, driving technical direction, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to design robust, high‑performance systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems architecture, cloud platforms, and software design patterns, along with a proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional projects from a technical perspective.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Architectural Leadership: Define and oversee the architecture of technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scalability requirements, and modern hosting as well as cloud‑native best practices.
  • Technical Design Oversight: Collaborate with engineering and development teams and vendor partners to define high‑level design approaches, review technical designs, and ensure consistency and quality across solutions. Engage with business and operations leaders to facilitate design reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and translate requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with security, governance, and responsible AI standards.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical point of contact between engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to ensure that architectural and design choices support overall product goals and user needs.
  • Cloud and Infrastructure Strategy: Develop strategies for cloud adoption, deployment, and optimization, ensuring systems are built for reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Application and Database Troubleshooting: Lead troubleshooting and defect resolution efforts across technology stack (front, middle and backend) including database technology and advise teams to improve quality and stability of the platform.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Advocate for the use of best practices in architecture and design, including the adoption of microservices, API‑driven development, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
  • Code and Architecture Reviews: Conduct architecture and code reviews to ensure design quality, performance, and security, guiding teams toward sound engineering practices.
  • Technology Evaluation: Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance architectural integrity, streamline development processes, and meet business needs.
  • Scalability and Performance Optimization: Lead initiatives focused on optimizing system architecture for high availability, security, and responsiveness, with an eye on long‑term maintainability.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Anticipate potential technical challenges and proactively implement solutions to mitigate risks related to architecture and scalability.
  • Prioritization: Prioritizes, manages and plans to incorporate technical debt remediation as part of projects/enhancements.
Other Assigned Duties:
  • Security: Collaborate with IT/IS divisions to ensure adherence to standards and industry best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Work with stakeholder and application owners to validate that the software conforms to the defined specifications and performs as envisioned.
  • Undertake any other relevant tasks as designated.
Skills and Experience:
  • Experience: 7 years in technical program management, architecture, or software development, with hands‑on experience in designing and implementing complex, distributed systems.
  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in software architecture, cloud infrastructure (Azure), and scalable system design. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture. Experience with LLMs.
  • APIs and Integration: Expertise in API design and integration strategies for complex, multi‑system environments.
  • Application Development Skills: Strong expertise in software development using ReactJS, Dot Net, SQL Server and other related technology stack. Strong knowledge of SQL best practices for multiuser hosted applications and SQL in‑memory processing. Solid understanding of data engineering and MLOps practices.
  • Project Leadership: Ability to provide technical direction, mentorship, and hands‑on support to engineering teams, guiding architectural choices and resolving design challenges.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem‑solving skills with experience in architecture assessment, scalability planning, and performance optimization.
  • Communication Skills: Proven ability to clearly communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work cross‑functionally, fostering a collaborative environment that ensures alignment and technical rigor.
  • Security Architecture: Experience with security best practices, data encryption, and compliance within system architectures.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using data to guide architectural decisions and performance optimization efforts.
  • Certifications: Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or relevant certifications are a plus.
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field along with 7 years of related work experience, or 10+ years of related work experience. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Ability to sit at a desk and utilize a computer, telephone, and other basic office equipment is required. This role is designed to be a hybrid position working most days in the office. However, at times, this role may be required to perform critical duties that require travel to other locations with health and safety standards.
