Based in Providence with flexible remote/hybrid options, the role partners with engineering and enterprise architecture to ensure designs meet business goals, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Extensive experience delivering complex distributed systems with architecture design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for cross-functional audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own solution technical designs for medium-to-high complexity features.
• Produce and maintain architecture artifacts (HLDs, context diagrams, etc.).
• Evaluate design trade-offs (latency vs throughput).
• Drive reference implementations and POCs.
• Govern design reviews; track risks, assumptions, and decisions.
• Identify and validate non-functional requirements (NFR).
• Create and enforce enterprise standards (identity, logging, API standards, cloud patterns).
• Drive projects with evolving artifacts under EA oversight.
• Curate knowledge base of capabilities, systems, processes, interdependencies.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Evolve architecture principles and enforce via Architecture Review Board.
