Job summary

Francisco Partners is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve a cloud platform that enables engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable software. You will work with software engineers, architects, and DevOps to improve developer productivity and platform reliability.

This remote-first role emphasizes IaC, cloud environments, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development tools. You’ll mentor engineers, contribute to architectural direction, and help teams safely adopt AI agents at

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
6+ years in software, platform, DevOps, or cloud engineering.
Strong cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Experience building Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation/Ansible).
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Scripting/programming in Python/Go/Bash.
Hands-on CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI or similar.
Strong networking, security, Linux, and platform operations knowledge.
Observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure cloud platform infrastructure.
Develop IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Manage AWS/Azure/GCP environments for performance, reliability, cost efficiency.
Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
Collaborate with software teams to improve platform capabilities and developer experience.
Monitor platform health and drive continuous improvements.
Implement security best practices across infra and pipelines.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate infrastructure development while ensuring quality.
