Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer - AI to design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms across Azure and AWS. You will work on Kubernetes, IaC, DevSecOps automation, and AI platform enablement to support enterprise apps, data workloads, and analytics.

You will implement LLM/AI deployment pipelines, maintain observability, and ensure governance and security in a regulated environment. This role is based in Norfolk, VA with day shifts and collaboration across IT teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud, platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and working knowledge of AWS.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, AKS, containers, GitHub, and CI/CD automation.
• Experience supporting Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, or comparable AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support Azure and AWS infrastructure.
• Build and operate Kubernetes environments including AKS; manage networking and scaling.
• Develop reusable modules and guardrails for standardization and self-service.
• Implement secure cloud networking, identity, secrets, monitoring, and resiliency.
