Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms for enterprise apps, AI workloads, and analytics. You will lead Terraform/Bicep pipelines, manage AKS clusters, and implement guardrails for developer self-service.

You will work across Azure and AWS, focusing on security, observability, and governance, while enabling ML/AI deployments with MLOps practices and AI services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 7+ years of relevant cloud/platform/DevOps experience.
• Strong hands-on Azure experience with working knowledge of AWS.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, AKS, containers, GitHub, and CI/CD automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support Azure and AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Bicep.
• Operate Kubernetes environments (AKS) including deployment, networking, and upgrades.
• Develop reusable platform services, automation, and guardrails for standardization and self-service.
• Implement secure cloud networking, identity, access, and monitoring with observability and resiliency.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Cybersecurity, Data Engineering, IT Operations, and DevOps teams.
