Job summary

Netsmart is seeking a Lead Software Architect, Cloud & AI Modernization to help guide architecture across complex healthcare technology solutions in a Post-Acute engineering organization. You will work closely with development teams to modernize products as Netsmart scales cloud-based and AI-enabled capabilities.

The role requires strong software engineering foundations, practical AWS knowledge, and DevOps partnership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Extensive software architecture and hands-on modernization experience.
• Strong AWS/cloud knowledge and DevOps partnership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture strategy and design for Post-Acute applications and platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess current architecture and guide modernization.
• Support modernization through modular architecture, API design, service decomposition, and cloud migration patterns.
• Partner with DevOps, Hosting, Cloud, Security, Product, UX, and engineering to align decisions with delivery needs.
• Provide leadership through design/code reviews, architecture docs, and reusable patterns.
• Guide teams on AWS architecture, distributed systems, CI/CD, observability, and security.
