Job summary

BMO seeks a Senior Cloud, AI & Data Security Engineer to design and implement security for AWS, Azure, and AI/ML platforms. You will embed security controls into DevOps, define security patterns, and advise leadership on AI risk and data privacy.

Lead governance and protect data across cloud environments. You will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, AI/ML teams, and auditors to ensure model integrity, access controls, and regulatory alignment, while advancing secure-by-design practices across

Qualifications

• A university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience building secure cloud and AI/ML architectures with a risk-based approach.
• Familiarity with cloud security tooling, IAM, and data protection principles.

Responsibilities

• Assess, design, implement, automate, and document security solutions and controls for AWS and Azure.
• Develop security patterns for cloud platforms and services and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Design and implement security baseline controls for CI/CD integration.
• Build and deliver policies as code and automate security controls.
• Review code changes for security implications (IAM roles/policies, security groups).
• Serve as cloud security SME for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS implementations.
• Define and implement a security framework for AI/ML systems across the model lifecycle.
• Collaborate with data science to integrate security into MLOps pipelines.
• Monitor AI threat landscapes and regulatory developments and translate into controls.
• Lead security risk assessments for cloud, AI, and data platforms.
