The role emphasizes continuous improvement, operational excellence, and collaboration across engineering and product teams to support Walmart’s data initiatives and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/SE or related area with 6 years’ software engineering experience OR
• 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and hands‑on development of scalable, cloud‑native AI‑powered platforms.
• Write production‑quality code and implement complex distributed systems.
• Own execution and architectural integrity of critical services aligned to domain strategy.
• Champion DevOps, CI/CD, reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Drive code reviews, incident resolution, and system performance optimization.
• Identify bottlenecks and automate solutions to improve velocity.
• Mentor engineers through technical leadership and engineering best practices.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to align technology decisions with business objectives.
