Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine seeks a Senior Research Coordinator to initiate, coordinate, and manage studies at the Medical Center. You will oversee financial and protocol development, recruitment, grant submissions, and study coordination in alignment with Good Clinical Practices, HIPAA, and sponsor obligations.

The role interfaces with patients and the Principal Investigator, provides guidance to staff, and works autonomously with limited oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related discipline.
• Minimum of four years of progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Effective oral, written communication, interpersonal skills; ability to interface with management and external customers.
• Preferred: Master's degree with 2–3 years of research experience and qualitative analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment: Manage recruitment for study/program; screen potential patients/subjects for eligibility and coordinate interviews.
• Data Collection and Analysis: develop data collection tools; conduct qualitative interviews and focus groups; code transcripts.
• Project Management: oversee planning and progress of study activities and multiple projects.
• Grants: assist in grant applications and related activities; prepare required paperwork and coordination with sponsors.
• Regulatory: ensure compliance with study regulations, informed consent, HIPAA and IRB processes; liaise with NYU Office of Clinical Trials if applicable.
