Job summary

NYU Grossman School of Medicine is seeking a Research Coordinator to manage moderate to advanced coordination of clinical studies at the Medical Center, ensuring adherence to Good Clinical Practices and HIPAA. You will interface with researchers, sponsors, and regulatory bodies to support enrollment, data collection, and reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus at least two years of project coordination experience in research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or related field.
• Minimum of two years of progressively responsible project coordination experience, preferably in a research setting.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook; Familiar with Internet applications.
• Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and internal/external customers.
• Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently.
• Commitment to continuous learning with ongoing CEUs as required.

Responsibilities

• Grants -Prepares and submit grant applications and related activities.
• Human Subjects' Research - Oversee IRB submissions and enrollment statistics.
• Study Regulations - Maintain regulatory documents and informed consent processes.
• Data Management - Collects and audits patient information and reports.
• Budget - Develops draft budgets and monitors funding support.
• Decision Making and Problems Solving - Analyze information to decide on solutions.
• Recruitment - Screen potential patients/subjects for eligibility.
• Clinical Competency - EKG, phlebotomy, specimen handling, training as needed.
• Continuous Learning - 10 CEUs annually and professional development.
• Reporting and Analysis - Compile data for reports to sponsors and PI.
