Job summary

Tarsus Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced Clinical Scientist to lead development strategies across multiple programs in eye care and dermatology. The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, protocol authorship, and rigorous data review to advance the clinical development plan.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical/science degree preferred (PharmD, PhD, OD, MD).
• 10+ years minimum experience, with 3+ years pharma/biotech experience in clinical science and 5+ years in clinical trials; eye care experience preferred.
• Experience authoring clinical trial protocols and/or study results with adaptable mindset for early development programs.
• Strong understanding of drug development and basic biostatistics.
• Familiarity with GCP/ICH/FDA/EMA guidelines and ability to manage clinical science deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Develop clinical strategies for assigned programs and ensure efficient execution of the clinical development plan.
• Lead protocol development, author primary trial protocols, and coordinate with required functions.
• Review and contribute to clinical, regulatory and study documents (IBs, CSRs, SAPs, ICFs).
• Educate teams on protocol execution and triage site/CRO inquiries.
• Collaborate with data management and biostatistics on data tables and listings.
• Support health authority interactions and preparation of scientific abstracts/publications.
