Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an experienced clinical research supervisor to oversee one or more studies under the PI(s). You will select, orient, schedule, assign work and evaluate staff, ensure protocol adherence, and assist in data interpretation and reporting.

The role includes budget oversight and cross-functional collaboration within the department. The position involves leading staff up to 20 FTE, maintaining study records, and potentially progressing to senior clinical research assistant

Qualifications

• Masters degree required.
• Five years progressively more responsible related clinical research experience, including supervisory skills.
• Excellent computer skills and familiarity with statistics.
• May require valid driver's license where grant requires travel outside of hospital.

Responsibilities

• Participates with the principal investigator in development, design and data management for one or more large clinical research studies.
• Participates in developing protocols, intervention plans and subject recruitment.
• Provides for tabulation and analysis of data results for publication and reporting.
• Supervises non-MD/PhD research staff up to 20 FTE.
• Interviews and selects staff; conducts annual evaluations.
• Coordinates work schedule and ensures adherence to procedures to optimize participation and data accuracy.
• Oversees budgets and variances; authorizes purchases within budget.
