Job summary

UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator III to oversee complex trials. You will lead a team, ensure protocol adherence, manage data and regulatory submissions while collaborating with physicians and disease groups.

Responsibilities include trial start-up, patient screening, adverse event reporting, and study close-out, with close coordination with the CTO and research leadership to advance cutting-edge cancer care.

Qualifications

• Seven years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three years of related experience/training.
• Clinical Trial Professional certification from a professional society within one year in position.
• Experience with IRB processes, budget negotiations and invoicing per clinical trial agreement.
• Experience to screen patients for eligibility, initiate treatment plan, collect, process and ship specimens.
• Experience with FDA policies regulating clinical trials.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and be accountable for overall administration of clinical research efforts across trials.
• Provide leadership to lower level coordinators and support personnel.
• Ensure protocol compliance, adverse event reporting, data collection and file maintenance.
• Communicate with physicians and disease groups; participate in tumor boards as assigned.
• Oversee start-up, training, recruitment, and close-out procedures for studies.
