Job summary

UC San Diego is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to lead start-up procedures, enrollment, and study coordination for phase I–III trials at the Moores Cancer Center. You will liaise with UCSD departments and external bodies to ensure compliant, efficient trial conduct.

Success requires strong data management, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to educate and assist investigators. A background in oncology research is preferred and multidisciplinary collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience/training or six years of related experience.
• Experience with clinical research protocols, data collection, and regulatory elements.
• Familiarity with IRB processes, protocol activation, and budget handling for trials.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate start-up procedures and oversee implementation of multiple clinical trials.
• Recruit, screen, enroll, and maintain study subjects across phases I–III.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, data quality, and timely reporting for investigators.
