Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Clinical Research Associate to advance our clinical research pipeline and drive site engagement across trials. You will collaborate with investigators and site staff to ensure protocol fidelity, data integrity, and patient safety.

The role emphasizes monitoring, risk assessment, and proactive site support, with opportunities to mentor junior CRAs and contribute to global/local initiatives. A strong regulatory understanding and cross-functional teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Appropriate tertiary qualification in health related disciplines (Medical, Scientific, Nursing) preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinically related experience, including 6 months in clinical research monitoring.
• Familiar with risk-based monitoring approach, onsite and offsite monitoring.
• Knowledge of therapeutic area indications and clinical trial concepts.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, planning and organizational skills.
• Advanced ability to leverage technology to provide customer-centric site support.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication; ability to build site relationships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for investigative sites with deep protocol and trial knowledge.
• Align and train site staff and PI on goals and patient treatment principles.
• Conduct site evaluations, training, monitoring activities per protocol and plans.
• Develop site engagement strategies and use CRM to report progress and measure impact.
• Ensure recruitment and retention strategies align with patient disease journey.
• Mentor CRAs and participate in task forces as assigned.
• Monitor site safety and data quality; ensure audit readiness.
• Identify new investigators/sites to support planned studies and manage investigator payments per contracts.
