Job summary

Brown University’s School of Public Health invites applications for a Senior Research Assistant (Clinical). The role supports the SQuAD Core with day-to-day research tasks, participant interactions, data collection, and coordination across sites. It requires a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of experience, with possible travel, nights, and weekends as needed.

The position is fixed‑term through 10/31/2027, onsite five days a week, with background checks and education verification required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3–5 years of research experience.
• Public health research experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting hard-to-reach populations and conducting interviews.
• Experience with grant funding and IRB procedures.
• Experience with diverse staff development and motivation.
• Experience with bio-samples processing and inventory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Strong time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day execution of project tasks and interactions with research team, participants, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Manage study recruitment/enrollment and data collection for the project.
• Coordinate participant compensation, specimen collection and bio-inventories; enter data into databases.
• Maintain participant tracking, project documentation, and administrative tasks.
• Program surveys, generate reports, and assist with manuscript preparation as needed.
• May travel to research sites; schedule nights/weekends as required.
• Onsite work five days a week at Brown University School of Public Health.
