The Role:

The Senior Clinical Project Manager leads and manages more complex clinical studies, demonstrating a higher level of knowledge of clinical operations methodologies, stronger organizational, project management, and leadership capabilities, as well as increased strategic insight, decisiveness, and sound judgment.

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure successful clinical trial planning, execution, and delivery within specified quality, time, and cost parameters.
• Align clinical project goals with Clinical Operations program objectives, creating greater value at the CFT level through optimal leveraging of budgets, timelines, and resources.
• Evaluate current methodologies and explore more efficient or effective approaches to clinical studies.
• Manage several clinical trials by leading and delegating to a CFT, working under the guidance of the Director, Clinical Operations.
• Lead matrix, multi-disciplinary, cross-functional study teams and ensure collaboration across functional areas.
• Provide guidance and oversight for the CFT, proactively identify, negotiate, and broker solutions to clinical study issues and challenges.
• Delegate tasks to support staff to ensure clinical studies are executed within time, quality, and cost parameters.
• Negotiate and interact with external partners (e.g., CROs) to ensure effective support for clinical trials within contracted terms.
• Ensure clinical trials are feasible by engaging the CFT to address concerns related to patient enrollment, site selection, and data collection.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for the Vision and Mission of Deciphera and the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in health science or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in clinical research, managing complex clinical trials.
• Extensive experience and expertise in managing high-volume/complex clinical studies.
• Proactive and independent vendor management, including risk mitigation.
• Understanding of stakeholder and decision-maker complexities.
• Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team.
• Develops a comprehensive understanding of internal and external departments and vendor interdependencies within Deciphera.

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills are required.

Additional Information

Deciphera is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $139,000 - $191,000, with actual compensation depending on experience, education, skills, performance, and location.
