The role involves data abstraction, data management, analysis, reporting, and education of medical staff and management. Requires RN Texas licensure and certification (CPHQ/CPPS) with a strong focus on patient outcomes and process improvement.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas required; must obtain permanent Texas license if establishing residency
• Five years of direct patient care in acute or ambulatory settings
• Two years in data management for clinical benchmarking or registry
• CPHQ from NAHQ or CPPS from CBPPS required

Responsibilities

• Communicates and disseminates timely data analyses to management and committees.
• Provides education, coaching, and mentoring to team members; orientation of new staff.
• Supports department with data abstraction for regulatory and accreditation requirements; leads improvement initiatives.
• Reviews abstracted data for accuracy and integrity prior to submission.
