Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior (Sr.) Financial Analyst to maintain and perform complex data analysis of clinical and financial performance for the assigned entity. You will independently compile and report information to Financial Accounting, Internal Audit, Revenue Cycle, and management.

You will develop best practices and tools for business analysis, highlight performance issues, and support annual operating budgets and monthly dashboards of key indicators and external benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Advanced analytical thinking and creative problem solving for business analysis.
• Strong knowledge of business process analysis, data modeling and functional design.
• Proficiency in project management and statistical analysis.
• Experience with hospital data bases and cost accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports and develops auditing, reporting and contract modeling tools for rate/fee analysis and contract performance.
• Maintains monthly dashboard of key indicators and external benchmarks; prepares revenue models.
• Reviews contracts and computes provider productivity bonuses/compensation models.
• Assists in preparation of gift, grant and contract budget proposals and oversees grant funding finances.
• Ensures faculty, staff and researchers are charged to correct funding sources via salary reallocations.
