Job summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center Hospital, part of Desert Care Network, is seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our laboratory team in Joshua Tree, CA. This full-time role supports blood tests and analyses, contributing to accurate diagnoses and patient care.

Shift: Days, 6AM-2:30PM. You will perform venous and arterial draws, ensure QC/QA, and collaborate with pathologists. We value ongoing education and professional development within a supportive, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Sufficient previous experience in all areas of the lab.

Responsibilities

• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Draws blood (venous & arterial) as necessary following all standards.
• Consults with Pathologist regarding difficult analyses or abnormal findings.
• Follows QC, QA and PM program. Is accurate and complete in documentation; following through in appropriate manner.
• Directs and monitors support staff; guiding in decisions and flow of department.
