Qualifications

• Knowledge of specimen preparation, requirements, and operations of equipment.
• Professional discretion with confidential patient results and understanding of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical assignments involving sequences of related operations and follows written procedures.
• Enters patient demographic and insurance information into LIS and EMR accurately.
• Prepares specimens, determines stability, volume, centrifugation needs, and aliquotting techniques.
• Troubleshoots and maintains automation and equipment as needed.
• Trains staff and assists in competency assessments.
