Job summary

Labcorp in Manhattan, KS seeks a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily lab operations, supervise staff, and ensure timely, accurate test reporting. The role includes coaching, process improvements, and QA documentation within a compliant, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds an associate degree in a chemical/biological science or medical technology, with 5+ years in a lab and 2+ years in high-complexity testing; Labcorp experience and ASCP/AMT cert are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; 5+ years as technologist/technician in lab setting.
• At least 2 years in high complexity testing; supervision preferred.
• Preferred Labcorp experience and relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Manhattan KS branch.
• Ensure tests are accurately performed and results reported promptly.
• Train and mentor laboratory personnel in the department.
• Monitor workflow and staff coverage for shifts.
• Address production errors and escalate as needed.
• Drive process improvements and quality controls.
• Maintain QA records and prepare documentation.
• Evaluate new processes and recommend changes.
• Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports.
• Perform bench work and maintain competency.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Administer policies, payroll, and personnel files.
• Handle additional administrative duties as required
