Job summary

Riverland Community Health is seeking a Lab Lead to independently perform professional laboratory duties and oversee daily operations in a full-time capacity. The role includes performing routine tests, correlating data, and ensuring workflow efficiency.

The Lead will train staff, maintain equipment, monitor quality, and ensure compliance with COLA/OSHA guidelines while supporting patient care in a hospital-based or clinic lab setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in medical laboratory field is required.
• Two or more years of recent laboratory experience required.
• At least 1 year of lead/supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• X-ray certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct workflow in the daily operation of a laboratory section and provide direction.
• Perform technical lab functions including hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, HbA1c and POCT.
• Report test results and alert providers of abnormal results.
• Train new personnel and document training.
