Job summary

Intelligent Technical Solutions in Reno, NV seeks a Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst to partner with hospital leadership and IT to design, build, and optimize EHR workflows across LIS, RIS/PACS, revenue cycle, and order management, driving performance and patient care.

The role oversees end-to-end workflow lifecycle from discovery through go-live, mentors staff, coordinates with vendors, and stays current with HIPAA and interoperability standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health informatics or related field; master’s preferred.
• 5+ years in healthcare IT, clinical informatics, or related roles with increasing responsibility.
• Clinical knowledge to engage physicians and executives credibly in a consultative capacity.
• Hands-on experience building and configuring EHR clinical workflows (Cerner/Oracle Health, Epic, Meditech).
• Proven track record leading workflow initiatives from discovery to go-live with measurable outcomes.
• Experience presenting to hospital executives on strategy, status, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive-level discovery sessions with hospital leadership and IT to identify strategic priorities.
• Design and build optimized clinical workflows across EHR with focus on order entry, result reporting, and documentation.
• Own full lifecycle: current-state analysis, future-state design, build documentation, and go-live adoption.
• Lead recurring working sessions across LIS, RIS/PACS, radiology, and care settings to refine processes.
• Configure EHR orders, order sets, worksheets, and documentation templates for production readiness.
• Prioritize and escalate tickets with leadership and vendors to drive issue resolution.
• Advise on LIS/RIS integration and imaging workflows with EHR platforms.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors on interface design and testing.
• Lead change management and end-user training for new workflows.
• Mentor junior informatics staff and elevate team capability.
• Stay current on HIPAA, Promoting Interoperability, and CMS participation requirements.
