Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Senior Clinical Ethicist to participate in ethics consultation, education, and local hospital policy review across Phoenix and Tucson markets. The role requires navigating uncertainty and conflicts while aligning with ethical norms and legal standards.

This position involves on-call services and coordination with hospital leadership to promote compassionate, patient-centered care and resource utilization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Bioethics or related field with ethics consultation experience.
• HEC-C certification within 1 year of hire.
• At least 1 year of healthcare setting experience with strong communication to stakeholders.
• Ability to travel between Phoenix and Tucson facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs Clinical Ethics Consultation and advisory services.
• Educates stakeholders on hospital policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Oversees scheduling of ethics services to ensure timely response.
• Identifies and assists with process improvement initiatives with leadership.
• Engages and promotes teamwork and collaboration among staff.
• Supports local Ethics Committees as a member and expert advisor.
