Job summary

Qualifications

• Masters degree or higher.
• 70 years with at least 5 years of progressive medical leadership.
• Active New York State clinical licensure (Physician, APN, RN, PA or NP).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for medical administrative and/or clinical leadership of department or clinical program.
• Provides leadership and medical expertise in developing clinical strategic programs aligned with department projects.
• Acts as clinical/medical resource to senior leadership, subcommittees, and clinical research as related to protocol/CRF writing and meetings.
• Provides medical and scientific input to committees, projects and programs.
• Participates in institutional committees and follows up with internal colleagues on issues.
• Establishes liaison with stakeholders and partners to ensure progress.
• Represents Mount Sinai Health System at meetings and external conferences.
• Leads committees and partners by developing structures and training.
• Ensures optimal interfaces between internal departments.
• Forms informal networks with senior management and updates on developments.
• Joint responsibility in financial management, budgeting and quarterly reports.
• Works with leadership on staffing needs for clinical projects and candidate selection.
• Ensures effective team communication through reporting systems and training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
