Job summary

Pfizer Inc. seeks a Medical Director to ensure the medical and scientific integrity of multiple trials while safeguarding patient well‑being.

You will design efficient, high‑quality trials using quantitative methods and clinical best practices, and collaborate with Clinical Operations to ensure timely, quality execution. You will provide medical monitoring, interact with external investigators, manage clinicians, and apply AI-enabled tools to optimize trial design and data review.

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent required.
• Postgraduate training/certification in Dermatology, Rheumatology or Pulmonology preferred.
• 5+ years in biopharmaceutical R&D with clinical research track record.
• Strong scientific productivity (publications, theses).
• Experience using AI-enabled tools, automation, data visualization, or digital trial tech.
• Extensive knowledge of clinical development, global/regional regulation, ICH/GCP, SAE management.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical execution of studies with medium to high complexity and significant business impact.
• Contribute to protocol design and development (PDD).
• Develop efficient protocols to maximize trial quality and site engagement.
• Provide clinical input to data standards, data reviews, and performance metrics.
• Draft and approve informed consent documents.
• Develop Integrated Quality Management Plans and approve final documents.
• Establish Data Monitoring Committees and endpoint adjudication processes.
• Review risk management and safety plans with stakeholders.
• Oversee site selection criteria and investigator meeting plans.
• Act as medical monitor for one or more trials.
• Ensure TMF compliance and contribute to regulatory filings as needed.
• Support audits/inspections and respond to regulatory queries with clinical input.
• Use AI and analytics to support data review, signal detection, and risk identification.
