University of Florida SHCC in Gainesville seeks a Clinical Coder III to optimize billing through accurate coding, educate providers, and address claim denials. You will apply extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and payer guidelines while ensuring UF Health policies are followed.

The role reports to the Coding and Reimbursement Supervisor and collaborates with Compliance and Quality offices. A senior coder who mentors others and supports education will thrive here.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of professional medical coding experience.
• Experience in two or three clinical specialties.
• CPC/AAPC or CCS-P certification required.

Mansioni

• Review clinic charges for CPT and ICD-10 accuracy and resolve edits.
• Perform chart reviews and provide feedback for documentation improvement.
• Educate providers on coding requirements and ensure compliant coding.
• Research coding questions and stay current with coding updates.
• Manage reimbursements and analyze denial patterns.
