Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Clinical Application Specialist II Data Analytics for a fully remote contract role focused on epidemiology and real-world data analysis. You will design and execute analysis plans, generate interpretable results, and support regulatory documents with robust analytical outputs.

Ideal candidates hold an MPH/MS (PhD preferred) with extensive experience in claims/EMR data, and proficiency in SAS, SQL, R, and Aetion.

Qualifications

• MPH or MS in Epidemiology, Health Services Research, Pharmacy Administration, or related field.
• PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
• Extensive experience with real-world data like health insurance claims and EMRs.
• Proficiency with SAS, SQL, R for data analysis, modeling, and visualization.

Responsibilities

• Apply epidemiology research techniques to address drug safety questions.
• Identify public and private real-world data sources for analysis.
• Develop and manage data and statistical analysis plans for epidemiology databases.
• Perform complex analyses and clearly communicate results to teams.
• Contribute to observational study design and cross-functional committees.
• Convert sales data into exposure data using real-world sources.
• Provide outputs to safety and regulatory documents like RMPs and PSURs.
• Conduct literature reviews on real-world data analytics methodologies.
• Offer insights into data analytics tools and study concepts.
• Use SAS, SQL, R, and Aetion for analysis and visualization.
• Provide user support and training for analytics tools.
• Collaborate with clinical research and other teams to align outputs with objectives.
