Job summary

The South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS seeks a strategic and experienced Director of Clinic Support to lead the clinic billing and coding teams within the Revenue Cycle Management department. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years of progressive healthcare billing, coding, or revenue cycle management experience.
• Experience supervising billing and/or coding teams.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding in a clinic setting.
• Familiar with payer requirements, CMS guidelines, and ambulatory regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership and daily management of clinic billing and coding teams.
• Establish KPIs for billing/coding operations and monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OIG guidelines, and SCRMC policies.
• Oversee coding accuracy across CPT/HCPCS coding for clinic services.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical leadership to address documentation gaps.
• Lead responses to payer audits and denials; manage appeals.
• Develop and maintain clinic billing/coding policies and compliance protocols.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle leaders on strategy and system initiatives.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare operational/performance reports for leadership.
