Job summary

CBIZ, Inc. is seeking a senior client services professional in the Columbia, MD area. You will manage a block of complex employer/group accounts, serve as the primary client contact, and coordinate across internal teams to deliver tailored benefits solutions.

You will lead renewals, discuss market trends, and coach junior staff, requiring strong communication, relationship-building, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• More than 5 years customer service experience in the insurance industry required.
• Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization.
• Advanced customer service skills.
• Proficient use of applicable technology.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide service delivery to an assigned block of more complex clients.
• Resolve the most complex customer service problems directly.
• Act as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts with direct client contact.
• Build relationships with employer/group clients and serve as primary contact for delivery.
• Represent client internally and coordinate with other functions to implement client systems and projects.
• Escalate client concerns when appropriate.
• Maintain data integrity and quality with applicable software.
• Take lead on designated renewals and present the CBIZ solution.
• Work with senior staff to create communication materials.
• Oversee new client setup, renewals, and open enrollment meetings.
• Establish and preserve business rapport with clients and vendors.
• Discuss legislation and market trends with clients.
• Generate client interest in additional lines of coverage.
• Coach and assist less tenured client services staff.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
