Garry Executive Search has been retained by a well-established, independent wealth management firm in the Twin Cities to recruit a Sr. Client Service Associate to support a growing advisory practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced client service professional who is independent minded, thrives in a low-hierarchy, high-autonomy environment, and wants to build a long-term career supporting a high-performing advisory team.
This role works closely with the firm's advisory and operations leadership, supporting a relationship-driven practice that is heavy in retirement planning, investment management, and estate planning, and serves a client base with a strong concentration of medical professionals. The Sr. CSA is a critical operational partner to a big-picture, relationship-focused advisor, owning the day-to-day account and client service work across both advisory and brokerage business that keeps the practice running smoothly. This is a permanent, non-corporate environment built on autonomy and trust, not a stepping-stone role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Provide high-touch, superior client service to a sophisticated, high-net-worth book of business, interacting directly with clients by phone and in person
- Support day-to-day account opening and servicing for investment, insurance, annuity, and retirement plan accounts
- Process account trades and other transactions as directed by the advisor (with proper licensure)
- Work across both advisory and brokerage business, given the firm's hybrid registration
- Prepare information for client meetings and manage documentation and follow-up tasks afterward
- Maintain the client relationship database and account files in accordance with compliance and record retention policies
- Coordinate with the broker/dealer and other service providers to resolve issues and ensure an efficient workflow
- Identify and implement process improvements, taking ownership of service quality and performance standards with increasing autonomy over time
Background They're Looking For
- Active Series 7 and 66 (or Series 65) securities licenses required
- Prior securities or wealth management client service experience strongly preferred
- RIA background preferred over broker-dealer, since most day-to-day work sits on the advisory side
- Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight in a non-corporate, low-hierarchy environment
- High accountability and self-sufficient — takes ownership and runs with it, doesn\'t need hand-holding
- Comfortable supporting a high volume of client relationships with a strong concentration of medical professional clients
- Organized, accurate, and detail oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ethical and able to maintain confidentiality
- Wants to grow long term with the firm and values longevity over a transactional or stepping-stone role
- $75,000 – $95,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
- Profit sharing and 401(k), typically in the 5–6% range
- Free, flexible PTO culture, plus a full paid holiday schedule
- Health insurance, with the firm covering the majority of the employee premium
- Employer-paid long-term and short-term disability
- Employer-paid life insurance
Why This Role Stands Out
- Tons of autonomy, no micromanagement
- High-performing, low-drama team with an established long-term growth plan in place
- Big-picture, relationship-focused advisor who relies on and values strong operational support
- Genuine flexibility on scheduling and remote work, as long as the work gets done
- Long-term runway and a defined growth path for someone who wants to build a career with the practice, not just pass through it
