Job Description: Senior Client Manager at The Baldwin Group

The Baldwin Group is an award-winning, entrepreneur-led insurance brokerage firm providing tailored Commercial Insurance, Risk Management, Private Insurance, Employee Benefits, Asset and Income Protection, and Risk Mitigation strategies across the U.S. and internationally. Position Overview: The Sr. Client Manager will coordinate carrier relationships, lead service teams on large accounts—particularly in the renewable energy sector—and develop placement and renewal strategies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage all Account Manager responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain carrier relationships.
  • Conduct marketing activities for large accounts.
  • Prepare and peer review risk maps for assigned accounts.
  • Coordinate service delivery and develop initial placement/renewal strategies.
  • Complete special projects and identify process improvements.
  • Mentor new colleagues when needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Strong technical knowledge of general insurance and underwriting, especially in the energy industry.
  • Ability to analyze complex risks and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Excellent client service and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software tools.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional insurance designation or progress towards one is desirable.
  • Minimum five years of commercial insurance account management experience.
  • Experience servicing clients in Oil, Gas, and Renewable Energy industries.
  • Valid insurance licenses as required by state law, or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
OTHER:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Travel may be required.
