Job summary

Bartlett, Pringle & Wolf, LLP is seeking an experienced Client Accounting Services Specialist to manage a portfolio of clients and support the client accounting services team.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years of bookkeeping and public accounting or client-service experience, with strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills. This role requires independence and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years bookkeeping experience, preferably in a CPA firm or client-service environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Advanced experience with Excel, including reconciliations and data analysis.
• Experience managing multiple clients and deadlines.
• Prior experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee accounting services for a portfolio of clients.
• Maintain and review general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and schedules.
• Identify accounting issues and communicate recommendations to clients and senior staff.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned clients.
• Review work prepared by Associates for accuracy and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Coordinate with tax and accounting teams to support tax preparation and year-end reporting.
• Support GAAP compliance and implementation with the audit department.
• Assist with client onboarding and process implementation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of department services and client experience.
