Job summary

University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer to oversee CLIA laboratory quality management, QC/QA documentation and regulatory compliance. The role leads the CLIA certification process and acts as primary liaison for inspections.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and extensive healthcare/academic medicine experience, with a focus on quality systems and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, law or closely related field and ten years of healthcare, hospital and/or academic medicine experience.
• Knowledge of CLIA regulations, quality management and regulatory compliance.
• Strong documentation, leadership and risk management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement QMS policies, procedures and daily checks.
• Investigate errors or deviations and document corrective actions and preventive actions.
• Maintain audit-ready QC/QA records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead CLIA certification process from application to approval.
• Serve as primary contact for inspections (CLIA, CAP, state, federal).
• Manage proficiency testing and monitor lab workflows for accuracy and efficiency.
