Job summary

The University of North Texas Health at Fort Worth is seeking a Senior Compliance Officer (CLIA Laboratory Quality Manager) to lead QA/QC programs, ensure CLIA compliance, and drive the lab through certification processes.

The role oversees regulatory compliance, SOP development, and documentation, partnering with leadership to maintain audit-ready records and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, law or closely related field.
• Ten years of experience in healthcare, hospital and/or academic medicine.
• Direct knowledge of CLIA regulations and lab certification processes.
• Strong leadership and QA/QC experience in a lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement QMS policies, procedures, and daily checks.
• Investigate errors, document corrective actions, and report QC metrics.
• Maintain audit-ready QC/QA records and SOPs meeting CLIA, CAP, HIPAA standards.
• Lead CLIA certification process from application to approval.
• Serve as primary contact for inspections (CLIA, CAP, state, federal).
• Oversee proficiency testing and daily lab workflows for accuracy.
