Job summary

The Florida Department of Corrections, Liberty Correctional Institution, is seeking a Senior Clerk-F/C (Classification) to accurately assess and classify inmates based on their needs, risks, and behaviours, ensuring housing and program placements that promote safety and rehabilitation.

This on-site role requires attention to detail, strong organization, and the ability to maintain official records, prepare forms, and support the Classification Department in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or it's equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare correspondence, memorandums, and typing of essential forms for the Classification Department.
• Maintain inmate files in Inmate Records, audit new inmate data, and prepare required forms.
• Enter data into the CDC database, retrieve information, and maintain classification documentation.
• Receive, date-stamp, sort and distribute mail; copy, scan, and fax documents.
• Provide customer service by answering calls, assisting inmate families, and handling special projects.
