Job summary

The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a Senior Clerk-F/C (Classification) for the Hardee Correctional Institution in the Classification Department. The role supports preparing correspondence, maintaining inmate files, and handling classification documentation.

You will input data into the CDC database, manage mail and documents, and provide courteous service to inmate families. A high school diploma is required and transcripts may be requested during the application process.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Official transcripts may be required if a college/university degree is submitted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare correspondence, memorandums, and typing of essential forms and documents.
• Maintain inmate files and conduct audits on new inmates; prepare forms.
• Input data into the CDC database, retrieve information, and maintain classification records.
• Receive, date stamp, sort and distribute mail; copy, scan and fax documents.
• Provide customer service by answering calls and assisting inmate families.
