We Never Walk Alone in Florida is seeking a Senior Clerk - F/C in the Classification Department at Jefferson Correctional Institution. The role supports the formal grievance process, secretarial duties, receptionist tasks, and back-up for Staff Assistant duties to ensure smooth operations.

The position requires a high school diploma, Level 2 background check, and offers benefits including health and retirement plans. Salary is $34,760.18 annually.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Official transcripts required if selected.
• Background check required Level 2 per Florida Statutes.

Responsibilities

• Play a pivotal role in the formal grievance process by assigning numbers, classifying, typing responses, obtaining signatures, and distributing within time limits.
• Prepare official correspondence, take and transcribe meeting minutes, type and proofread daily correspondence, and maintain organized files and records.
• Be the welcoming face of the office as receptionist, receiving and distributing mail, ordering office supplies, and inputting monthly reports.
• Cover the duties of the Staff Assistant in their absence.
• Assist with all aspects of the formal grievance process and maintain a log of grievances.
• Perform general office duties for the Institutional Inspector and Sergeant as needed.
