Job summary

Amgen Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Senior Clean Utilities Engineer to own and optimize plant utility systems, lead startup and qualification, and drive reliable operations for drug substance production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED or higher with engineering/maintenance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience; Doctorate with relevant experience.
• Preferred: deeper GMP/Biopharmaceutical operations knowledge and capital project execution.

Responsibilities

• Own system ownership for Clean and Plant Utility systems at the site.
• Support design, construction, startup, commissioning and qualification of new/modified systems.
• Develop maintenance programs and ensure spare parts availability.
• Ensure safety compliance and regulatory alignment (GMP/OSHA/EPA).
• Lead or support RCA and corrective/preventive actions to reduce downtime.
• Assist in capital project planning, procurement, construction, startup and validation.
• Promote condition-based and predictive maintenance with data analytics.
