Job summary

The RAND Corporation in Washington, D.C. seeks a Classified Systems Administrator, IV to maintain secure Linux/Windows environments, classified servers, and network infrastructure for TS/SCI environments.

You will lead projects, provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with NISPOM and NIST 800-53, and collaborate with cybersecurity teams while supporting a 5-day-per-week on-site presence at RAND's Arlington, VA location.

Qualifications

• Senior level Linux support in secure environments.
• Experience with Windows in security/compliance settings.
• Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, DHCP, virtualization, AD.
• Familiarity with STIGs, NIST 800-53, and DoD-style policies.
• Strong written and verbal communications; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate and lead projects for classified IT systems and networks.
• Maintain and secure classified servers, OS, applications, and storage.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance across the IT team.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and compliance teams for accreditation.
