Job summary

RAND in Washington DC seeks a Classified IT Network Engineer to engineer networks and infrastructure in SIPRNET, TS/SCI/SAP, and unclassified environments as needed. You will lead network solutions and collaborate with SCO staff to ensure secure, resilient operations.

The role requires extensive experience in DoD/IC classified IT environments, active or eligible TS/SCI clearance, and the ability to work onsite in Washington, DC, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BS/BA in a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may substitute.
• 8–12 years of experience supporting classified network systems depending on education.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME day-to-day data, voice, LAN/WAN, Cloud in classified environments.
• Collaborate with S&CO Systems Administration and ISSM on compliance and technical matters.
• Lead small-to-medium classified projects and design tactical solutions.
• Prepare for and participate in government inspections of classified environments.
• Develop network diagrams and provide Tier 1-3 support.
