The role emphasizes information assurance, risk governance, and automation-enhanced security methodologies with strong training and mentorship to ensure robust security solutions for national defense programs.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance required.
• DoD 8570 IAM Level I or higher certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC).
• Experience applying and documenting policy and system configurations to satisfy NIST 800-53 controls across control families.
• Ability to interpret requirements for effective security controls across Windows, Linux, virtualization, and networks.
• Develop and update RMF artifacts such as SSP, POA&M, SCTM and related security policies.
• Utilize tools like Tenable Nessus, Splunk, HBSS ePO for continuous monitoring and defense.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of cyber security professionals to secure and field tools supporting governance, risk management, and compliance for classified systems.
• Perform information assurance activities to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified assets.
• Drive advanced risk governance operations and implement proactive, automation-enabled security methodologies for classified programs.
• Mentor team members and enforce compliance with federal security regulations and standards.
