Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking an experienced Claims Supervisor to lead the claims management team across multiple locations in Connecticut. The role requires supervising staff, guiding technical claims decisions, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws while driving business goals.

You will develop staff, manage reserves, extend settlement authority as needed, and foster strong cross-team communication. Travel about 15% is expected, with a strong emphasis on mentorship and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of three years of work experience in an insurance related industry required.
• Extensive knowledge of WC regulations VT, RI, CT and NH, insurance contracts, applicable law and adjusting techniques.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, mentoring and teamwork skills
• Advanced skills in applying sound judgment/analysis, decision making/problem solving, planning and organization and negotiation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and collaboration skills gained through previous work experience.
• MS Office Product Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• CPCU; AIC designation or similar professional designation desired.
• Ability to travel for business purposes; approximately 15%

Responsibilities

• Manages the assignment of losses to claims staff and provides technical direction and ongoing guidance through effective diary management.
• Ensures timely, accurate documentation of claim activity.
• Selects, trains, coaches and mentors unit personnel.
• Plans staff responsibilities and directs activities to meet department goals and budgets.
• Develops staff to respond to current and anticipated needs of department and career development goals.
• Ensures appropriate case reserves consistent with company guidelines.
• Extends settlement authority on claims exceeding adjuster's authority.
• Provides strategic direction aligned with company goals and programs.
• Identifies trends across the claims portfolio and recommends remedial actions.
• Reports observations and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Manages account management processes and resolves service issues.
• Promotes effective communication among work groups and management.
